Ok so I am reading all these polls on same-sex marriage.
Here is a pretty good break down of what I'm reading.

I don't understand how they can be too legit in saying that between the month of March and April support for gay marriage gre from 33% to 42%. Was there some brainwashing on a McDonalds commercial that I missed? that is quite a jump. Of course I'm glad the tide is turning and I think it has a lot to do with the many many new queer characters on television. For once I am happy about people believing things they hear on TV.
But heres the weird thing for me, in the end of this article it reads: According to that same poll, however, fewer than half of Americans (45 percent) say that not allowing same-sex couples to marry amounts to discrimination. A slim majority (51 percent) disagrees.
HOW is it NOT discrimination? Can someone explain that to me? I'm serious, I'm not being all outragey and ranty. I really don't understand how someone could see it as not discrimination. 2 people who fall in love and want to spend their lives together, thereby, obtain a state sanctioned document that is relatively cheap (100$) that guarentees them access to their loved one in hospitals, visiting rights to each others children in case of death, allows them to inherit their property, gets them fat tax rebates and makes it totally rude for family members to exclude them from family photos. Maybe they don't know the actual definition of discrimination?
Someone, anyone, please explain this to me.
